Take the trendiest beverage of the year to the next level by adding beauty-boosting benefits to every sip. Topping a collagen-infused glass of your favorite milk with a layer of fluffy whipped coffee, this picturesque drink is rich like espresso and creamy like a latte. Ready in just minutes, it’s easy enough to replace your mundane morning cup or as a quick midday pick-me-up. When your coffee is this good, life is brew-tiful.
2 Tbsp. Organic Instant Coffee
2 Tbsp. Coconut Sugar
2 Tbsp. Hot Water
1-1/4 Cup Plant-Based Milk
1 Scoop Ancient Nutrition Collagen Powder
6 Ice Cubes
In small mixing bowl, combine instant coffee, coconut sugar, and hot water. Using hand mixer, beat a few minutes until very thick and fluffy.
In a cup, stir together milk and collagen until well combined. Mix in ice cubes.
Pour whipped coffee on top; stir together or drink as is.
Whatever you do, do not put white table sugar in your tea or coffee. It’s not worth it. If it feels right to you, go throw it out right now if you have any white sugar in your home. You don’t need it anymore!
Use honey, maple syrup, coconut sugar, monk fruit, or stevia instead. In fact, Vincent M. Pedre, M.D., who prescribes an antianxiety diet to his patients, says, “The spike-and-crash feeling of even a few teaspoons of sugar in your coffee (or any other sugar-filled breakfast) can ramp up anxiety, impair your ability to cope with even the minor stressors life throws your way, and leave you feeling lethargic and groggy.”
He also recommends starting the day with a smoothie for breakfast, followed by tea and supplements. It’s also a good idea to take your antianxiety supplements in the morning.
