Ingredients
-
8 oz (about 2 cups) of fettuccine pasta
-
2 tablespoons of olive oil
-
2 cloves of garlic, minced
-
1 cup of heavy cream
-
1 cup of whole milk
-
1/2 cup of unsalted butter
-
1 1/2 cups of grated parmesan cheese
-
A pinch of salt and black pepper to taste
-
Fresh parsley, for garnish
-
1 Olive Garden cheese grater (for finishing touches)
Directions
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat
Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
Add the chicken breasts to skillet and cook for about 6-8 minutes on each side until thoroughly cooked and the crust is golden brown
Remove the chicken from the skillet and let rest for a few minutes. Then, slice into thin strips for later
While the chicken cooks, add fettuccine pasta to water, according to the package instructions, until al dente.
Drain pasta and set aside
In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant
Reduce heat to medium and add heavy cream, whole milk, and butter
Stir constantly until the butter melts and the mixture starts to simmer
Slowly, whisk in the grated parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy. Season with salt and black pepper to taste
Allow the sauce to simmer for 2-3 minutes or until it thickens to your desired consistency
Add the cooked fettuccine pasta to the Alfredo sauce and toss to coat the pasta evenly
Gently fold in the sliced chicken strips
Continue to cook all ingredients together for a few minutes until everything is heated through
Serve the chicken alfredo hot, and garnish with fresh parsley
Recipe Note
And for a final touch, bring out the Olive Garden cheese grater (or any fine cheese grater) to add the final flourish of fresh Parmesan cheese to your Chicken Alfredo.
Enjoy your homemade Olive Garden-inspired chicken alfredo with a signature cheesy touch from the Olive Garden cheese grater. It's a wonderful way to bring the flavors of your favorite Italian restaurant into your own kitchen. Bon appétit!
